Cafe Bunna Annecy France

Our story

Where coffee meets creativity

It all started at the markets of Chamonix, where our mobile coffee shop brought people together over a great cup of coffee. Today, Café Bunna is a vibrant hotspot in Annecy, where locals gather for their daily coffee and indulge in homemade treats, freshly prepared by Olaf & Jolanda.

Café Bunna

More than just coffee
In 2024, we expanded our 17 m2 café into a unique concept store, blending our “hole-in-the-wall” coffee bar with a boutique featuring our two in-house brands. A small space, but a big dream, a creative hub where passion and craftsmanship come together.

Sustainable & local
We carefully select organic, local, and responsibly sourced products to ensure the best flavours and products while respecting the planet.

A coffee experience like no other
Unlike most coffee spots, we offer table service, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Our signature cappuccino? Smooth, velvety, and the perfect way to start your day. Prefer it on the go? Take it away!

The art of espresso

Every story of espresso begings with the Iatlian tradition of the 5 Ms- five words that explain the keys to great espresso. They are: La miscela (the blend), il Macinadosatore (the grinder), la macchina (the espresso machine), la mano (the hand or skill of the barista) and la missione (the mission).

We found a ‘Savoyard’ roaster in Piemonte (Italy), which roasts are an excellent mix for us. The taste is full, rich and vibrant with a nice crema layer.

From an Italian family – run business, over 80 years of experience in coffee roasting, to a modern company that treasures its tradition. Everything began in the 30’s with a wood fired roasting machine and a bicycle used for deliveries.

The coffee is super fresh and perfectly ground as our Eureka Atom Speciality 75 coffee grinder grinds our well selected beans on demand.

We work with the White Eagle of Victor Arduino espresso machine, the traditional lever infusion system, introduced in 1946, to produce the pressure manual. A machine that brings out a special something from the barista that pulls the lever down to brew that great cup of coffee.
